Also met a group of school children , who all wanted selfies of silly old foreigners , & wanted our autographs , & knew how to say ‘Nice to meet you’ & ‘You are very beautiful’ ☺️

Today was a different kettle of fish.
1,000’s of steps from the road to the wall to start.
The a bajillion between 22 towers.
Think of a normal step , then triple the rise/fall of each one. In drizzle ,on a very steep incline.
So so tough on the thighs & calves.
But done 👍🏻

Gubeikou section of the Great Wall of China? Completed it 👍🏻
Terrifying start to the day with narrow worn away sections (floods & age) and a sheer drop on each side - no photos & all eyes & mind required.
A lot of steep ups & downs
But - the views. The GOD DAMN VIEWS.

It’s midnight in Beijing, we left the Uk yesterday evening & by way of flights & connections & time difference have had 4 dinners & a breakfast in past 24 hours 🤣

You don’t cook the tomatoes, just warm their juice & it’s bloody lovely.

15km walked for our last training session this morning.
On Saturday we’ll be off to walk 5 consecutive days on the Great Wall of China.
Raising vital funds for Prospect Hospice.
I’ve paid for the trip myself so every single penny raised goes directly to them.
