I will note that the websites you used and the polls you are citing aren't particularly reliable either. Hell, the site you cite claims that the Nazi tattoo reveal was an 'oppo research reveal dripped out for maximum damage', when it was Platner who revealed it himself to get ahead of it.
"Owning up to his mistakes"? He lied about them. His initial reaction was to brush them off as something no one would care about. And his '20 year post history' also has him defending getting Nazi tattoos and also denigrating women and LGBT people.
Polls that ask what your reaction to something is actually entirely normal. That's basically how all polls work. It's how they are framed that indicates if they are a push poll or not. Describing the tattoo as 'Nazi' would not be a push poll, but describing it as' Anti-Israel' is.
Also it is funny calling it 'fake non-sense' when Graham Platner admitted that it is all true, he just claims that he has moved on from that 'dark time of his life' of 2021 and is no longer that person.
I like how you don't even try to argue that I'm WRONG, you just go "NO FAKE NEWS!" and don't even try to respond. And sure, we need better, but we absolutely don't need an ancient octagenarian's pet Nazi-Tattoo Bearer.
That's not what a push-poll is. A push-poll is one that words things to get a specific result. For example, the other poll out that shows Graham ahead? Calls the tattoo an "anti-Israel" tattoo which would give you VERY different results and did.
He used "Gay" and the f-word as a pejorative a lot, and I am glad that you are fine with that but I'm not, and it doesn't seem like several LGBT communities are not fine with that.
Huh? The poll you posted post-dates the tattoos, whereas the literally only other polls I've seen predate the tattoo revelations for the most part and called it an Anti-Israel Tattoo.
figuring out the best way to respond to it. Of course, she may not need to he sank in the polls instantly. Outside of doing something like calling it an anti-Israel tattoo, I don't see anything that has any sort of power to dispel the stink on him.
Uhh, no? Like, he decided to get ahead of it, but a lot of people do, in fact, care as he dropped like a rock in the polls. The only one that has him still ahead is the one that called it an 'anti-Israel' tattoo. "Getting ahead of it" is a classic way to control the narrative because Mills has to be
You should probably look then. There was an actual article about it! He claimed that rape victims should have done something to stop their own rape. And that black people are cheap and don't tip.
He's also said that you shouldn't get mad at military men for having Nazi tattoos. It is "our culture"
If you want a good example, look at Tulsi Gabbard. Once a darling of the left, is now a diehard Trumpist. Pretty much because she hated trans people enough that she decided to jump in with every other right-wing thing. ALso Krysten Sinema, who talked how progressive she was and turned right-wing.
I mean I don't like the guy cuz he turned out to be dude who had a Nazi tattoo for nearly decades and lied about it a lot. I am very willing to take what he has to say when he had anonymity as true. And it's not really weird, there's a lot of right-wing grifters who were big left-wing folks.
I'm still pretty sure it's just cuz his dad had an in with Bernie. Guy was a zero-lister. Literally his entire experience was on the planning board of a town of 1200 people. He's a rich mercenary who has had everything handed to him, including this new Senate gig. HE was stupid and fucked it up.
'Edgy' humor stopped being funny because people started realizing it wasn't ever just being edgy or ironic. Those people really believed it, they just hid behind 'it's just a joke'. He claimed it was all trolling, but it was the same account where he bragged about being a communist and a merc.
I mean... does he? Like openly he claims to, but on Reddit he was shittalking rape victims and black people, and talked about how much he loves going to war with small countries and even joined a mercenary group to go kill more people. Oh yeah, had a Nazi symbol on his chest. Not very anti-fascist.
Well that's the thing. If you know ANYTHING in-depth about WW2, then you know the symbols of the Nazi regime. And the SS Totemkopf was one of the big-time ones next to the swastika. It'd be like not recognizing the swastika for a normal person.
He was literally just some dude whose daddy is a Bernie booster so Bernie has been pumping him up. He sees himself as a great leftist, but also seriously hates rape victims and black people, and had a Nazi tattoo that he was braggy about.
Indeed. But you're not a WW2 military historian, so being slightly confused can be excused. Graham Platner's a WW2 military historian, so he has no excuse for pretending he had no idea what it was.
