Nodding towards the older man across the counter, he'd make his way toward their usual spot in the corner.

He sat across from the other, his hair noticeably more messy than normal, but that same smug smile on his face.

"Hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long."

That same smug tone as well.
He'd stop in front of the entrance to the shop, taking in a deep breath, reminiscing the memories, before ducking to walk in.

Just like the city, the appearance of the shop was always like he remembered.

It didn't take long until he descends into Ecruteak, touching down onto the ground, returning Pidgeot back into his Pokéball, a deserved rest for now.

Walking from the East, the Gym Leader would saunter over to the ramen shop, passing by the traditional looking architecture of the city.

One where he lost his Championship, the other where he lost a friend for a while.

Memories which he pushed to the back of his mind, ones that he wished to replace with better ones.

The climate changed once he was over Johto, the moisture in the air more evident as he soars over Violet.

Blue was never one to rush when it came to meetints, but this one was far more important.

Up in the air, wind smacking his face and flowing his spikey hair, flying over the League and past Mt. Silver.

Two places that has deep memories of the other.

So the surprise he gets when he turns his head to look over to the clock is pretty evident, immediately getting off of his chair and rushing out of the Gym.

Pidgeot was immediately sent out of his Pokéball, his trainer calling out their next location before jumping on its back and taking off.

Tradition is something the Gym Leader never breaks.
Call him old fashioned, but he considers it keeping a promise to an old friend.

Though forgive him if he is a bit late, the work of a Gym Leader who also does a lot for the League makes time flow by faster than he'd like.

he would—he’d walk through that door any minute now.

Then I'll just get used to it.
It doesn't.

Im just not used to it.
No, I should get used to /saying/ it more.
[ he was suprised by it.
He shouldn't, but is ]

I'll try to.
When have I said otherwise?
I didn't say that now did I?
You're sending yourself too.
Shouldn't it be the otherway around?

Not that Im complaining.
Is this our "sleeping on the couch"?
And you're still this obsessed with me?
Geez, get a life.

"Finally showed up?

Alright, let's see what you can do."
