In Kyiv, I was glad to hand over equipment worth €6.5 million to Ukrainian services.

This includes drone jamming systems, minibuses and four-wheel drive vehicles to reach remote and inaccessible locations.

The agreement on the first phase of the Gaza peace deal marks a significant breakthrough.

This is a major diplomatic accomplishment and a real chance to end a devastating war and release all the hostages.

Russia is masking its failed summer offensive with terror attacks on Ukrainian civilians and infrastructure.

It offers the best immediate chance to end the war. The EU is ready to help it succeed.

Israel has signed on to the plan.
Hamas must now accept it without delay, starting with the immediate release of hostages.

The UN reimposed sanctions on Iran early Sunday over its nuclear programme. The EU will follow.

This must not be the end of diplomacy with Iran.

A sustainable solution to the Iranian nuclear issue can only be achieved through negotiations.
