It isn't that I never identified as a Democrat or Liberal, it's that I had never gotten the education from the existing system to let me know exactly what that meant.

It wasn't until I - not even "did my own research" - but just did a *little* bit of digging, following up on things, that I realized

God knows they tried with the Rally To Restore Sanity and/or Fear

How will you solve the problem of people who can't respect the chatbot saying "No" though? 🤔

I'd be exaggerating if I said he was the "Worst President" but it wouldn't be a lie if I specified "Worst Democrat President"

I suppose that's true for a part of the population - but what does it say about the part of the population that opposes the regime, is getting real information but still decides that anything beyond wagging a finger is over-reactionary?

Did they also come up to him tears in their eyes? 😄

It might not even amount to a "theme" - I wouldn't want to know what % of "viewers" would just make it porn with their AI.

I don't know anymore if people understand that, like.

If you do something good on the spur of the moment (even if it takes planning and time to execute) then it's genuinely good.

If you do it as some calculated way to accrue "points" to "exchange" later or throw in people's faces then NO, IT AIN'T

Hrm, I don't politically disagree with the basic thought behind "Evolution Denialism is Racist" and "Standardized Curves, well Depends on whose standard" but they wholly don't belong as main topics in an article of SA - maybe in something like Jacobin.

Which kind, one of the pedal assist 15mph ones or the ones that go up to 40 and the pedals are an excuse to sell it under an unregulated market? You can tell by whether it was shaped like an actual motorcycle or not.

When did they change hands? I have a bunch of copies from Sigma Xi and they're wonderful, but that was from 10 years ago now

Also: Isn't part of the whole *thing* about television it being a *shared* experience?

If there were 500 versions of GOT with different story beats and endings it wouldn't have been the cultural icon it was till that last bit.

I miss the days when SA would do an in depth several pages of how ML works and what it can and can't do and neural networks with wonderful full page spreads.

What the *fuck* happened to Scientific American - they used to do such good in depth articles on really niche shit.

Which is why that dumb old motherfucker should have stopped sending weapons.

Pete put it rather succinctly a few months ago:

"You don't have to have beliefs, you just need to sound like you do"

And so I've been a vocal critic of ACA especially when Democrats trot out "We have Universal Healthcare at HOME" to the masses telling them that they'd do a better job of taking that $8,000 into a fucking Health Savings Account and negotiating with their doctors and dentists themselves.

I am told by Democrat leaders that this is all a distraction and we shouldn't respond to every little thing Republicans do.

I wonder if they'll respond by the time they camps are set up, or is that also just a red herring to them.
