I cannot wait for the first actual native Switch 2 Pokémon game that isn’t kneecapped by having to be backward compatible with Switch 1. Legends Z-A is insanely fucking promising. Them pulling this off cross platform is…really surprising and impressive.

It runs at a perfect 60, haven’t seen a single hitch in 8 hours of playing, insanely fast load times, and except for a handful lower quality textures and some weirdly spotty grass models everything has looked pretty great.

I’m sorry the visual and performance issues that were legitimately an issue on Switch are a thing of the past now and anyone pretending otherwise is just farming outrage clicks. Looks and runs great. Find a new thing to complain about.

Legends ZA looks lovely and runs like butter on Switch 2 and people are still complaining that it’s not pretty enough or whatever like they don’t squeeze the absolute most that’s humanly possible out of a game that needs to still be able to run on Switch 1.

If you can play Scarlet & Violet or one of the Legends games and think “this is exactly like Red & Blue just with more modern graphics” you’re just…wrong.

Asking why Pokémon won’t “evolve” as a franchise is crazy because the past decade has been absolutely dominated by experimentation and evolution. Some successful, some failed. But it’s evolved more than a lot of other franchises in that time.

Surgery went great btw 🥺 I had an absolutely fantastic doctor. It took 10 minutes, very light pain for a moment but he immediately gave me more anesthetic and then I felt nothing. Kept me talking the whole time because he could tell I was nervous. He snuck me in during his break (!!)

I was treated by 3 doctors, got x rays and bloodwork done, had my foot bandaged, got IV antibiotics, and then antibiotics and pain pills to take home

Muuuuuum they’re putting screenshots from a game for PCs and current gen systems next to a game that needs to run on the equivalent of a mid range smartphone from 2017 again as if that showed literally anything but their complete ignorance of game development

It’s a lot easier to carry out a genocide of marginalized people (and let’s be clear, that’s the end goal of the Republicans’ fascist project) if there’s no or little critical mainstream news coverage of those groups, by those groups, sympathetic to those groups.

If you get a deal with a streaming service or do a TV broadcast or cinematic release definitely. Traditional mass market Home media releases unfortunately largely flop now, nobody buys Blurays. But there’s ENDLESS other ways to monetize. Pack in for an album deluxe. Fanclub VOD. Merch at shows.

Rewatching something that you know the basic plot of in a foreign language with subs in that language may be the single strongest learning tool I’ve ever found tbh
