Is there a professional dispute there that I'm unaware of? I mean, I know he's not everyone's cup of tea, but I never found him all that bad. I don't think I've met ANYONE as ambitious and avaricious as he is, though.

Bob from the fulfillment center can go from packing to shipping and vice versa.

Bob cannot get transferred to the Game Dev sector to work on the next attempt at a WoW-killer.

And they're sure not gonna take Bob from his forklift and plug him into middle-management suddenly.

But that's another problem. Product chains. I mean, Amazon has their fingers in just about every industry known to modern man. It's easy to shift money around. It's harder to shift PEOPLE around, unless you're shifting people from one entry-level job to another.

OH! And then after they lay those employees off? They write it off as massive shareholder/investor returns for the end of the quarter fiscal review.

It's downright vulturous.

It DID have a pretty healthy player population, so the game must have been doing SOMETHING right. And I feel for the devs that worked so hard to bring the game to life for people. They're going to be hurt by this too, when the inevitable layoffs hit.

I think this whole thing was a popularity ploy by Amazon.
It's starting to cost more money to continue development and Bezosbub doesn't want to.
Because he never really actually CARED about owning an MMO.
This was never anything other than another product for him to push. But some people liked it.
