There is a way to change this, but it takes work. We need unionised workforces in the housebuilding industry to stand with the whole #TUC to squeeze both #Government and #Developers. Decisions like this aid the right by increasing anger. It is politically naive at best.

We need housing, but some people need housing more than others. #Developers aren't interested in who buys, so long as they buy at the highest price to maximise profit. They see #SocialHousing and #NatureProtections as negatives on their balance sheets. The result is entrenched disadvantage grows.

When we talk about the differences between a #JustTransition and an outdated, #CorporateLed #UnjustTransition, actions like these exemplify the problems 100%. The needs of people and nature are overruled by #CorporateGreed and weak government @teamlabouruk.bsky.social. Time to stand for us not them.
