Protesters are reporting today that state troopers at Broadview were exceptionally violent last night, lots of baton strikes including at heads and faces. Everyone arrested has been released.

Chaos. ISP just made a charge, pushing people back east toward 25th Ave., right into cars pulling out of the parking lot. I hear people talking about arrests but it's too dark to see. People panic, run.

I'm just not feeling Sakamoto's choices the last few seasons. She's skating to the music and hitting the beats with the choreography and it all looks very nice but she doesn't seem into it. Kaori! Skate to kpop or electronica or whatever you have in your earpods off the ice. #gpfra #figureskating

Levito's team has managed to morph from pretty pretty princess to a more sophisticated look with Cinema Paradiso etc but its basically the same thing and I feel like without more creative/interesting material she'll get lost in the crowd of Japanese skaters with the same vibe #gpfra #figureskating

The armchair edgies have never been to an actual organized protest so they totally miss the part where experienced people disseminate info to normies about concrete next steps/small community actions. People are so hungry for that. There was a ton of positive learning happening yesterday.

I saw so many organized groups of young 20somethings! Also, on the packed train back to the nabe just before most of us exited, a young voice piped up and said "We left the house! We got out there! We did it, everybody! Let's keep going!" and the entire car broke into cheers.
