"But I am an archer! And I fight for justice! The moniker fits, right? I'm also called the hero of Julesvale and the bowman bandit!"
@julesvalianhero.bsky.social "Archer's of justice, huh? That sounds like a made-up title you gave yourself."
she counted them on her fingers as she rattled them off. "I also drove back an eldritch monster! But my nemesis for as long as I've been doing this is Alex Badger, CEO of a company keeping Julesvale under its thumb. I just can't seem to catch him!"
"My biggest villains? Let's see, I fought Elliana for the second time last week, she's using Julesvale to test a flying war machine she built. Not on my watch! A few months ago I fought Artemis, a fire mora, and foreman Kohler tried to make me disappear using a giant digging machine,"
she relaxed. "It'll be fine! Nobody ever looks up, sneaking by is the easy part! Can you move in that corset?"
Of course, Fleet couldn't recognise Solas when he stepped out of the shadows. She got spooked by the dark cloaked figure approaching her armed with knives, and had nocked an arrow into her bow even before her tail could puff up in reflex.
"Jeez, you gotta stop sneaking up on me like that!"

-- dressed for stealth. Hope you can hide well behind that dark cape."
her fall. The jeweler's windows were still boarded up, tiny glass crystals hiding in the crevasses of the cobblestone street. She still wore her brightly colored hero outfit for the occasion.
"Are you here?" she asked the streets.
She had been quietly stargazing waiting for the moment of the heist to come. The light pollution and smog in Julesvale often made the stars hard to see, so Fleet had seized the opportunity and kinda lost track of time. She jumped down from the roof of the jeweler, using a gust of wind to break

"We'll have to wait until 12? Uughh, but that's gonna take so long!" Fleet pouted. "Okay, let's meet close by the jeweler at midnight then! It's been shut down ever since I broke in, we shouldn't have any visitors!"

About 10 minutes after the clock struck midnight, Fleet stretched herself.
-- than qualified to be a "partner in crime". Petty thievery got his blood pumping well enough, but a chance to use his skills to help a cause bigger than himself was thrilling. Perhaps he could learn a thing or two from Fleet along the way too.
"Have we? Uhm...Oh! I think we have! We met in the forest a while ago! Uh, you're...Ena, right? Something like that. I'm Fleet, the Archer of Justice! You thought I was ambushing you! I think."
Then again, the bug did have a mysterious air about her, maybe she knew more than one would expect.
"Uh, I guess? I-I mean, there's villains to stop basically everywhere, right?"
The bullseye question physically caught Fleet off-guard. There's no way this stranger had heard of the near apocalypse in Julesvale, could she? Well, if she had heard, there's no way she'd know about Fleet's involvement, Fleet reasoned. Nobody could. Hopefully.

"Ooh! Julesvale is my hometown! It's great! It's in the far west of Aether, in the valley of the mountains, that's where the name comes from! We're hardworking miners, traders, and engineers! Nobody in Aether has figured out steam power quite like us! And I'm it's hero!"
@julesvalianhero.bsky.social The name Julesvale is unknown to me for I am not as well traveled as I would like...could you tell me more of it?"

“Solas, try and keep her under control. If anything goes wrong she will abandon stealth completely at the drop of a hat.”
“Come ooonnnn, have a little faith!” Fleet protested, only to be met with a sarcastic side-eye.
Olympia sighed and let her arms fall to her sides in defeat. “Fine. I guess I’ll make my way to the rendezvous to tell Slade about the situation. If he isn’t going to help us I’ll give him another crystal to pick us up when we’re done here,” she said.

+
“We can both try and pick that lock. Should be done in a jiffy, right?”
“Well, if that’s sorted, I’ll be taking these to the lodge to make sure nothing happens to them,” Hamir said, hoisting the crate onto his shoulder.

+
“Great! Let’s get going as soon as possible!” Fleet exclaimed, excited for another adventure. She collected the woodworking project she had been working on off the dock, the beginnings of a small rabbit, and looked out over the sea at the sun shifting orange.

+
-- His grin widened. "If you don't think I'll slow you down, I could help you get to his office. I've never picked the lock on Ramone's door, but I don't imagine it'd be hard."
Do you know any secret entrances, alarms, that kind of thing?"
didn't warn us!"
"Oh, you-!"
"Fleet," Hamir stepped up, interrupting the brewing fight, whether it'd remain verbal or would devolve into a physical one. "Why don't you steal the bust? You're good at that."
"I am! Good idea! Hmm... I don't have time to study the building...Solas! Can you help?
+
This entire town is in danger," she continued with a wavering voice.
"Fleet, I told you this whole thing needs to be kept secret!" Olympia scolded her.
"Solas deserves to know!" Fleet retorted.
"Why? Scaring the townsfolk isn't going to help anyone!"
"Well maybe Julesvale went to hell because you
