I don't know anyone who served with him who liked him, but all of a sudden his mental health is a concern (as it should be)
I posted similar on FB. Everyone, mostly veterans, and some Falklands veterans agree.
I did not know that!
Ah this is because you are a young thing! I remember the Falklands coverage in detail! I was doing my A levels at the time! I used to rush home from school to watch the 1 o'clock news!
Apparently it is! But I didn't get any sense of that, but the weight of history pressed on me - we were in a cell where a man convicted of murdering his wife was held. I can't imagine that he had a fair trial
Quite. I would in no way want any of my posts to be interpreted as defending his subsequent actions but for sure it's the one thing he earned by his actions in combat
R4 are reporting Andrew Mountbatten Windsor could be stripped of his Falklands medal.

Now, I loathe him as much as the next person but I am not sure that is even possible. Nor would I approve of it to be honest.
I don't know how you'd do a credit check!
Don't forget a title will tell you how much the property was last purchased for and when
I can't say! Mr W has turned into the grumpiest man alive!
Sorry this is from GB news but it contains important info! Train companies routinely employ veterans as they are reliable and Follow Rules! So I am glad to see that the train driver in the recent incident is Senior Service www.gbnews.com/news/andrew-...
Quick-thinking LNER train driver whose actions saved lives identified as Iraq war veteran
Andrew Johnson diverted the London-bound train to Huntingdon

Those of us married to a (in my instance, former) train driver know that they are not paid for what they do but what they know.
Next time someone tells you that train drivers "just push buttons" show them this from the BBC
Ah yes, 1779 for Bodmin (although we were told that Napoleon prisoners had helped build it). We stayed there for my recent birthday! It's very fancy!
I shall wait to see what you find
Her ensign is in Exeter cathedral, it is dusty and threadbare, and I wonder how much longer it has ☹️
I wonder if any of those prisoners were involved in building either Dartmoor prison or Bodmin Jail?
Bloody hell, this is too Einsatzgruppen for words 😧
A Sudanese mother holds her child moments before being executed by the Rapid Support Forces militia.

What is happening in Sudan is not just a war… It is a humanitarian wound, a mother’s cry, a nation’s sorrow calling on the world not to remain silent.
They are amazing ladies, all our WW2 wrens were/are
I love seeing Wren Okell pop up on my timeline. I wish I could go back in time to talk to them
This here is one of the great U-boat hunters of the Second World War.

Grab a comfy seat and a glass of something pleasing. We're going on a journey...
As soon as it dries up I must go to plym valley! I need a P! I am doing Dulwich in a few months and then I only have really horrible letters left in my alphabet!
I did! My usual Torbay Velopark, I was hoping we would not be on the field as it's too muddy by the time I get round. But I am told this is the last week and we will be on the winter route next week
It's lovely if a bit hilly for my taste!!
Who knew?
The last survivor of the Crimean War died in 2004.

"Timothy" spent 40 years in the Navy. After retirement, having moved in with the Earl of Devon, she revealed she was a girl.

She would wander round his garden wearing a sign that said. "My name is Timothy. I am very old. Pease do not pick me up".
This is where the UK will go if we are not alive to the men who would take away our freedoms
Today at The Argument we're publishing something very different.

A mother in Georgia wrote to us after her IUD failed. Her email said:

"…if our policies weren’t so illiberal, I very well might have decided to stay pregnant." www.theargumentmag.com/p/an-abortio...
An abortion ban pushed me toward abortion
Is this what the pro-life movement intended?
