Fucking crooks in government and the O&G sector.
Public understanding doesn't get to be this wrong just by accident !

Here's looking at you Tufton Street -Fleet street nexus 🤨
😢

"Perhaps the most striking findings is that the British public vastly overestimates the cost getting to net zero by almost 14,000%, fueling scepticism & a reluctance to pay. On average, they estimate it will need 28% of GDP by 2050, compared to @thecccuk.bsky.social forecast of just 0.2%"
Commercial murderers spread lies that lead to death.
Exxon turned climate change denialism into a global campaign.

They funded right wing think tanks across Latin America to spread climate denial and sabotage global climate talks.

Exxon knew about the climate crisis since the 70s and still chose profit over truth.

The green party have always made sense.
Which is why the media ignores them.
The government spends £2.7 BILLION a year on TAX BREAKS for oil and gas companies

Those companies pay billions to their shareholders

And then lay off their workers

Think that's unfair?

Tell Rachel Reeves to stop propping up oil and gas companies and back workers instead…

Farage coins in £1000s a month for a few hours "work" yet he thinks the economic woes of the UK are caused by an 18 year old getting a tenner an hour working their arse off in Burger King.

This is the only pertinent point to be made, really.
She is telling an accurate story of recent history - the triple punch of austerity, Brexit and covid. It's spot on. But it is terribly strange to say it now in government when you were not prepared to say it in opposition.

I’ll put this in a way that I understand.

The right are illiterate fucks who try and excuse racism in any way they can.
Let’s take a look at the whole “there are too many black people on TV” thing, shall we?

After Pochin claimed Black people in TV adverts “made her mad”, all her supporters tried to use 👇🏼 as their excuse for why she was somehow justified in her overt racism.

Spoiler - she isn’t! 🤨

One thing some get right about our politics, the politicians are weak. They’re scared to say what needs to be said.

He broke the economy. Now he wants to run it.

Nope.
Stop blaming the poorest and most vulnerable for your problems.

It’s the super rich. It has always been the super rich.

They make the propaganda to convince you it isn’t them. It’s 2025, we should know better.

And who is it they want you to blame for all that?
That’s going to save the public purse a few bob. Hopefully more follow suit.
