To any new followers I receive: hi!

I post (mainly) Carolina Panthers content but I also write for On SI for the Jags/Chiefs/Rams, providing analysis and content on that front.

You’ll find film, NFL draft analysis, and objectivity to the best of my ability.
Not saying PFF is the know-all of everything football but some of the grades match the growth from Wallace since he started as the “green dot” LB for the #Panthers. If you can’t recognize his growth, I can’t help you.
Some fans are arguing with me on X that Trevin Wallace is still a subpar, soft linebacker that is easily replaceable.

Replaceable right now? Sure.

Ignoring the legitimate growth and improvements since becoming the MIKE? Not it.

The tape + some of PFF shows improvement.

Horrible, potentially game changing call to Suarez. Brutal.
Yeah, it’s over the Mariners. Helluva run this season.
Brutal. Evans’ historic streak of 1k-yard seasons comes to an end.
Mike Evans broke his collarbone, Todd Bowles says.

The Buccaneers’ star receiver is expected to miss most of the rest of the season.
BIG DUMPER SEND EM TO THE PROMISED LAND
If they want to get both players on the field, that’s how it needed to be done. Hubbard was also in his first game back from injury so expecting him to have a lights out game seemed premature. Think of the backfield Detroit has…each player has a great game followed by an inconsistent one.
Tbh the run game was likely to take a step back because the Jets defense is a really solid unit. Held Carolina to 13 points. Don’t expect the two games before that to be the norm going forward.
This is a tough blow for the #Panthers.

I don’t have a lot of trust in Andy Dalton, especially what I’ve seen from him recently.

Canales better hope Buffalo’s run defense remains a weakness next week, because will need to lean on Dowdle and Hubbard a good bit.
#Panthers QB Bryce Young suffered a high ankle sprain on Sunday, an MRI revealed, and he is expected to miss this week’s game against the #Bills, per sources.

Andy Dalton is now in line to start against Buffalo, and quite possibly beyond.
New from me: the #Panthers secured a significant road win, their first of the season, to move to 4-3.

However, Bryce Young (ankle) is TBD in play status, causing concern for the week(s) to come.

That, and more of my biggest takeaways for CAR's win vs. NYJ:

Biggest takeaways from the Panthers' strong Week 7 win over the Jets
The Panthers' suffocating defense headlined the team's third straight win and our key takeaways from Week 7.

Very happy to see Xavier Legette with a great game.

9 catches, 92 yards, one touchdown, including the game-sealing downfield catch in the fourth quarter.

The second-year WR needed that in more ways than one.
Andy Dalton tosses a floater to Xavier Legette downfield on third down. First down, and the ball game.

It was ugly, but the #Panthers have a winning record this deep into the year for the first time in six years. They are 4-3 heading into next week.
On the flip side, the #Panthers have been getting pressure all day against a bad Jets OL and have secured six sacks and potentially more as this game hits the 2-minute warning in the 4th quarter.
Dave Canales with yet another questionable play-choice in a critical game management situation. That PA is just not Dalton's style whatsoever, another reason why Young's loss is significant. #Panthers

Two-INT day for Jaycee Horn.

He's having an All-Pro year, All-Pro Day.

He ran that route for the receiver on his second INT. #Panthers
Interesting, no DPI on McMillan. #Panthers offense underwhelming at the worst time.

The Jets will have a chance to tie the game or narrow the lead.
After a questionable no-intentional grounding call, Nick Folks's FG makes it a one-possession lead for Carolina, 13-6.

The #Panthers must hit the KO punch on this drive, even without Young for the rest of the game.
Losing Bryce Young even short-term is a significant blow for the #Panthers. His playmaking ability out of structure is incredibly valuable to this offense. I don't have a considerable amount of confidence in Dalton to be consistent.
TE Ja'Tavion Sanders is struggling coming back from an ankle injury.
Cade Mays is working in the trenches. He is an absolute mauler at center in all facets. #Panthers
That is MetLife Stadium turf for you, folks. I doubt the ankle gets caught in the ground like that in grass. Unfortunate for Bryce Young. #Panthers

#Panthers QB Bryce Young is questionable to return with an ankle injury.
Great catch over the MOF by Xavier Legette. He's having his most productive game of the season, exactly what you want to see from your struggling second-year WR needing productive days. #Panthers
