There’s about three shots in One Battle After Another that culminate in skateboarders fanning out across city streets that are some of the best images put on film.

Was trying to work out the ailments - inamorato - lovesick (far left), possibly zelotypia - jealousy (top left).

Onto the slightly mysterious. There’s a lot of quartz in the same area often in very good condition. First pics are of worn looking, green crystals - wondering anglesite but they seem harder than Moh’s 2.5-3. Last pic is a mineral on galena - chrysocolla? From a different area.
Green-ish tinged crystals (full shot) Close-up green crystal - or is it behind the crystal and therefore reading green More green crystals Teal looking mineral on embedded galena cubes

I might be being thick but the webpage for diabase has the same photo and states perhaps to where you’ve pointed to olivine phenocrysts as: “Brown spots are left by sea animals that were attached to the rock.” Purely as I’m looking at my stuff and going is it olivine or sea animal.

#teambaryte #barite today. I’ve got to vote for the local lad as I step over enough of it now without even picking it up. Found in a lot of spoil due to its hanging around with galena. Three variants inc the unusual fleur-de-lis type on the right: #mincup25 #baryte
Baryte varieties from the same locale. Solid salmon pink, coxcomb and fleur-de-lis. From my own, small yet storage-troubling collection.

Agree. I’m actively being pushed to use AI in work. A new dystopIan twist is the email telling me to use AI has signs that it may well have been written by AI. The Christmas play at the local primary school was written by ChatGPT with the kids learning lines of garbled nonsense.

I’ve checked the geology of Ireland and can’t fathom a reason as to why they importing “Italian stone” to make their fancy Goodfellas pizzas.

What’s up with photos not uploading due to “not being supported”? #bluesky
