Cal Raleigh of Cullowhee in Jackson County continues to amaze — with two homers last night, he now has 56 for the season, tying Ken Griffey Jr.’s record for most by a Mariner and breaking Mickey Mantle’s for most by a switch hitter. He already has the most by a catcher. He’s making NC proud!

For as long as I can remember, Fergie has been my hero. He was a steadfast champion of civil rights and spent his life fighting for the betterment of others. He was also incredibly charismatic, charming, and kind. And, to my entire family, but especially my dad Adam, he was a dear friend.
