The EFL cup QF TV draw is likely to be made next week so we might find out then.

I'm not sure they can wait to see if that is viable, but it would probably be the solution Palace take if they are forced into that position I'd imagine.

They may choose to just force Palace to play these games within the span of a few days and essentially require them to field a second string team in one of the matches, so these fixture movements are not guaranteed

Palace now have two games in GW16 midweek

If they decide to move ARS v CRY QF to GW17 weekend
- LEE-CRY will be postponed to later in the season (causing a BGW17)
- EVE-ARS would also move (causing a BGW17)
- There's a possibility (and some pressure) to put EVE-ARS in GW16 midweek (causing a DGW16)

I've been using the projection model data to inform picks but not developed an optimisation solver for it nah.

How were you going about approaching it? I suppose with autosub and 0 mins probabilities, you could just use those, implement the penalty points, and then invert the solver objective 🤔

The team goal lines are derived from sharp bookmakers' odds, as are most of the player-level projections, but we need to blend in a bit of historic expected data for some of the player elements like goalkeeper saves and bonus points.

I hadn't really thought about it much, but I think at a single gameweek level, the decision making process is so much more interesting than any outcomes.

Over longer periods sure - might look at doing something at halfway/GW19 - but week to week it's pretty noisy I think.
