We don't get a lot of these birds. Usually Flickers and Downies. The GHOs are starting to hoot at night. Haven't made it to Ridgefield as have been taking care of problems.

Our furry friend will be 13 next month, she is finally showing some aging with slipping on the tile floor.

They are often along either side of the road before 12 or on the left side across the water after 12... but they are relatively small and definitely well camouflaged.

An Acorn Woodpecker in the bright sunlight filtering thru the green oak leaves as it collects acorns for the winter. This is the northern most edge of their range, they always remind me of #clowns

Actually, it was purchased from a very hard working young man and his wife at $8/lb... I'm sure ICE would love to give them a ride. We also bought a dozen eggs from their chickens they raise.
