Backpack is a screaming hairy armadillo, one of only four born in human care since 2020. Born right here at the Museum of Science in Boston, they started out tiny, with a soft shell and a look that resembled a pink gummy bear.

This last week we traveled to the Rothko Chapel, and I can't stop thinking about it. It was my second visit, first in 2017. Both experiences were nourishing & cathartic in very different ways.
