Indeed. It was one of my favourite performances from that weekend.
Today's random Discogs choice Osees and Abomination Revealed At Last Dinked Edition 2025. I like this band. That psychedelic rock thing does it for me occasionally. And this album is a good fun listen. Favourite track Sneaker.
Today's random Discogs choice The Orb and Little Fluffy Clouds 12" 1990. I was 20 when I bought this. I'm 55 now, and this is still a stunning track. All hail the 'Chill out zone'. Excellent b-side too, Into The Forth Dimension Essenes Beyond Control. First class!
Today's random Discogs choice John Parish & PJ Harvey and Dance Hall At Louise Point 2020 reissue. Not my favourite album of Polly's, but there are some good songs dotted around. Favourite track Rope Bridge Crossing.
@unspunheroes.com Arrived safe and sound by a high-vis wearing pretend postie (late in the evening too, who knows where the real postie has got to). Lovely package as per usual. I've already played it via Bandcamp and enjoyed it immensely. Looking forward to whatever you come up with next.
If episode 1 is anything to go by, Sally Wainwright has knocked it out of the park again!
Today's random Discogs choice Scott Walker and Climate Of Hunter 1984. This is not an album I've spent much time with. If I'm honest, I need more time with it. Not an easy album to appreciate in his canon. Favourite track It's A Starving.
I think the postie is having a nap/chin-wag somewhere. Should be here today at some point 🤞.
I've spent the morning/afternoon listening to The Smiths. How was this only a b-side? Fabulous track.

Today's occasional series of 'what I cooked in the air fryer'; garlic pitta bread crisps. A little too much garlic salt for my liking (I will experiment with other flavours eventually), but an absolute winner for afternoon snacks.
Today's random Discogs choice Small Faces and Itchycoo Park 7" 1967. I love this song, one of those 60s tracks that I adore. B-side is My Way Of Giving, which is ok but nothing more for me. Nice chazzer find.
I need to hunt down a 12" version.
You're probably right about Martin wanting another musical direction. But as we know, do that in your own time, etc.
It could be my favourite Mode track, to be honest. I've not played it at the wrong speed, I may try it...
Today's random Discogs choice Depeche Mode and Leave In Silence 7" 1982. Back in '82, twelve year old me bought this with my pocket money. Now, today in 2025, I'm having a boogie to the magnificent b-side Excert From My Secret Garden. Prime A La Mode 😎
Today's random Discogs choice Wolf Alice and Visions Of A Life CD 2017. I like this band. This is their 2nd LP, and pretty much rocks out like their 1st. Some great tracks, of which today's favourite is Don't Delete The Kisses.
Today's random Discogs choice The Concert For Bangla Desh 1971. This is a wonderful live album. So many good tracks, I could live without Bob Dylan thou (I'm not a fan). Favourite track Leon Russell - Jumpin' Jack Flash.
Today's random Discogs choice Sigur Rós and Svefn-G-Englar 12" 1999. Still processing seeing them at the Royal Albert Hall last week, with an orchestra. What a gig! One of their best tracks (one of many). Stunning.
Today's random Discogs choice Thomas Dolby and Hyperactive! Electronic Sound 7" 2024. I find Mr Dolby a bit chalk and cheese, some I like, some I don't. He is, however, an interesting and inventive artist. I do like this track. It's fun.
Today's random Discogs choice Alela Diane and About Farewell CD 2013. And we're back after a relaxing two weeks off. Today, we have a pleasant country/folk album. It's a lovely listen. Favourite track Rose & Thorn.
I started this yesterday with the plan of watching a couple of episodes. Binged the whole bloody lot. I must say it's perhaps the best series I've watched this year. And the best bit, there's got to be more as they left it on a right good cliffhanger.
I'm two episodes in...
I need a great coat and a top hat, and I wish to storm around Dublin in the mist. It's fucking fabulous!
The Count Of Monte Cristo tv series
This is the best story of revenge (an excellent book if you've never read it). There are a few tiny changes in this storyline, but the story is solid and an easy, fun watch.
Getting It Back: The Story Of Cymande
Any music lover should invest time in this documentary. An incredible journey from unloved to discovered beauty courtesy of the hip hop and DJs in the US.
