But we’ve also seen an infinite number of variations on zombies eating people, which I hoped to avoid when putting out the call for stories.

And writers delivered. I had so many great submissions, it wasn’t possible to include them all, and curating them ended up being stressful.

Using food and consumption as a thematic connection point for this horror anthology seemed like a no-brainer to me.

Eating is such a personal, everyday activity for most of us, it seemed like an obvious tension point for some scary stories.
