I walk into them and feel the same as you mention.

I find the recluse and widows at night with a flashlight. I keep them down around the house by using a stick to collect them with the web. I don't like pesticides.

They are as the name implies reclusive. nasty looking webs. There are also brown widows, a cousin to the black version. Spiders and snakes (Jim Stafford) I was into both as a kid. Esp snakes. No rattlers in CT but we had copperheads. Caught a few. Hognose snakes were the coolest. Sorta cobra like

Snakes are no big deal. they don't have any striking distance. In all they years working healthcare, never saw one bite.

Guy came in with a black widow bite on his butt (he brought the remains of the spider with him) It had bled for almost three months. The venom had ruptured a blood vessel.

It's funny. running 8 and it's been lacking support and updates for several years. It works and the virus protection does as well because it's not Microsoft and it has its own updates.

Microsoft killed a paid for version of Works because that computer was inet connected. No idea where the disc is

Good friend at an early hospital I worked lost his arm and eventually his life from a brown recluse bite. Saw many a spider bites in ERs that would make anyone think twice about letting a venomous spider live.

I'm fine with spiders that are non venomous. I'll move them out of the house when found.

More than 150 unvaccinated schoolchildren are being quarantined for 21 days in South Carolina after being exposed to measles, state officials said.

spot on.
The only ones who may think it's okay are those who are taking down several hundred thousand dollars a year or more.

Then again, it's possible those making $35K think they're going to be the next millionaire. Sort of like MLB's union where base is around $1m and tops is 45 times that.
