I’m enjoying a few days walking the Suffolk coast. A lot of interest, both what is now and what has been.

And a good morning to you too. Have a good day 💪
Totally. I’m walking on the Suffolk coast for the next 3 days to try to get some of that sunshine, although the forecast is for dull days! I’ll have to compensate with chocolate 😆
We all need a bit of a laugh sometimes
For today’s #roseWednesday here are a couple of late season blooms of the lovely rose ‘Roald Dahl’. This variety really does have a long flowering season. I combine it in beds with blues, purples and whites, eg. white roses, lavender, salvias and Verbena.

So many communities have been lost this way over the centuries.
Excellent! It’s very satisfying isn’t it?
I can understand that. Though if you stood next to this one you’d see the multitude of plant species that have been planted here.
Agree. I think you can get the plant containers to assemble but I know little about it.
It’s hard to get perspective but this one is probably 15m high x 30m long
A living wall garden in Norwich, nothing to do with me other than I’ve walked past here for years and only really noticed how impressive it is last week. Thought it may be of general interest to like minded gardeners.

It’s been a busy week of autumn tasks in the garden, including potting on summer cuttings which have rooted successfully. These examples root relatively easily. They will overwinter in a cold greenhouse ready for planting out late spring.

To brighten up a bit of a dull Monday morning, here is the David Austin rose ‘Strawberry Hill’ from the garden taken a week ago. A lovely, dominant rose with wonderful scent. Also fits with this week’s #AlphabetChallenge #weekPforPink.

Lovely looking dog. Ours is 8 years old.
Good luck to whoever judged the apples !

Pears don’t usually ripen on the trees in the UK, but this year they have been. At least in these parts.

They do. It’s a very “clean” combination.
