I'm sure it happens, but if you're waiting a week before an election, you aren't serious. I make sure I'm registered months before every election. Just saying I can't imagine this would affect many people.

I don't understand. Does this really affect that many people. I mean, when I couldn't find my birth certificate, I contacted the DVS and had a new one within the week, at no cost. And aren't marriage licenses available at the courthouse? Inconvenient - perhaps. IDK, what am I missing?
