3/3. Both adults were on Quadrant House this morning, and I saw the male chase after some Feral Pigeons, one of which he got quite close to but failed to catch. The male is in the first photo, the female in the second.

Sutton Peregrines. 1/3. I've not physically seen the juvenile male since 09/10, though he has appeared on camera a couple of times since, the last being at about 07.00 on Sunday 12/10. So, it was good to see him on camera today at about 14.30, when he had some Parakeet remains. #londonbirds #birds

Garden Birding. I've not seen much of the local Jackdaws the garden for a while, but two are beginning to visit the feeders more frequently again now. There area few Ring-necked Parakeets in the first photo too! #londonbirds #birds
Two Jackdaws (the dark grey birds, one on a feeder and the other on a branch), with several Ring-necked Parakeets (the green birds), also on garden bird feeders. There are also tree trunks, branches and leaves in the photo. A Jackdaw on a garden bird feeder. The feeder contains a fat ball. A Jackdaw on a garden bird feeder. The feeder contains a fat ball, and the Jackdaw has a small bit of that in its beak.

Garden wildlife. A lovely Zoropsis spinimana seen on the fence last night. It was a good sized male of about 6cm overall, but not as big as some I have seen before - helpfully not too active so I was able to position this ruler nearby (the graduations are in cm/mm). @britishspiders.bsky.social

2/2. This is a video of the larva. The overall length was about 1cm. I'm in Sutton, South London. @lnhs.bsky.social @bugmanjones.bsky.social #londonwildlife

Garden wildlife. 1/2. Intrigued by this larva seen last night on the fence, and which I've not been able to ID. The most likely seems to be a Land Caddis (Enoicyla pusilla), though those are reported as being nationally scarce, and only found in woodland in the Worcestershire area.

Garden spiders (Araneus diadematus) can build impressive webs, at least in terms of the distance of the support lines. For the last 2 days this one has built a web where the lines go from the gutter of my kitchen roof to plants below, a distance of just over 2m. @britishspiders.bsky.social

The 2025A juvenile Red Fox Vulpes vulpes vulpes vixen really likes apples. Here is a photograph of her really liking one yesterday afternoon.

Very nice! Maybe it would have been a little less spirited without the help of the Class 67 Diesel!

Local wildlife. Walking home from Sutton this morning I was checking for potential Segestria florentina sites in an alleyway, and sadly came across this dead one below its web. @britishspiders.bsky.social #londonwildlife

2/2. And the pair of Steatoda nobilis have now spent several days together!

Garden wildlife. 1/2. From the fence/house last night. A male Anyphaena numida was on the prowl, as were probably 2 (though the photos were taken at different times, so maybe the same one) male Amaurobius similis. @britishspiders.bsky.social #londonwildlife

Garden birding. A female Great Spotted Woodpecker visiting the feeders earlier today. Unfortunately this one was empty by the time it arrived! #londonbirds #birds
A black and white bird, with red under its tail, on an empty bird feeder, and with another feeder, a branch and tree leaves in the background. A black and white bird, with red under its tail, on an empty bird feeder, and with another feeder, a branch and tree leaves in the background.

Sutton Peregrines. 1/3. The juvenile male was on camera for about 3.5 hours today, staring with him slipping between the rail and the wall! While he was there he fed on some Parakeet remains, chilled, stretched, preened and had a scratch. #londonbirds #birds

Garden wildlife. Garden spider (Araneus diadematus). @britishspiders.bsky.social #londonwildlife
A spider with grey/brown patterning and white marks resembling a cross, sitting on a leaf, and with one of its back legs touching a strand of its web, and which will alert it to any prey getting trapped. Garden wildlife. 1/2. A couple of Amaurobius similis on the fence last night. I thought one was a male (1st image and top one in the video in 2/2) and the other a female, but that also seems to have palps. I've been advised that that one, and with its back legs moving, is web building.
