As an engaged Democrat since I was 9), I am horrified that so many of your age cohort place almost no value on experience and knowledge, and think being under 35 is the primary qualification for office, while being over 70 is disqualifying. (Unless you're Bernie Sanders, right? Then, it's cool.)

I think real, experienced, accomplished Democrats -- even in their 70s -- are what's standing between us and full bore autocracy. This ageism of people like Litman, suborned by people like Melber that just want cultural relevance among younger folks, is toxic and destructive. It gave us Trump twice.

You betray the problem right there. The people mindlessly mouthing the mantra that the Democratic Party is "out of touch" because they think it makes them sound insightful is the problem. Litman is single-mindedly about ageism, and undermining great, experienced Democrats so she can promote herself.
