Josh Downs dealing with a concussion is significant, obviously.

Riley Leonard will be the backup this week.

Colts will see how it goes this week before making a decision on who's the backup after this week. Rypien isn't quite here yet.

Charvarius Ward will not practice today. In concussion protocol.

Lou Anarumo came up with the idea of using Ashton Dulin on defense as a way to chase down Kyler Murray.

When Murray didn't play, Dulin's role got reduced to one play, likely the only play you'll see all year with a WR rushing the QB.

How Colts decided to use WR Ashton Dulin on defense against Arizona
Dulin played one snap as a pass rusher against the Cardinals, but his role would likely have been larger if Arizona started Kyler Murray.

With Anthony Richardson out, the Colts need to add an experienced backup. This team is off to too good a start to roll the dice in case of an injury to Daniel Jones.

The problem is there aren't a lot of obvious options available. www.indystar.com/story/sports...
Indianapolis Colts need to upgrade backup QB with Anthony Richardson on injured reserve

The way Arizona lets Budda Baker roam makes the Cardinals hard to read, and you could see at times Sunday that Daniel Jones was second-guessing himself.

But when the Colts needed Jones to win it in the fourth quarter, he answered the call. www.indystar.com/story/sports...

Alec Pierce on Cardinals' defense: 'It's like (Budda Baker) is playing 'Madden' out there. It's like 10-man football with a bonus player'

Colts offense (pending the two Monday Night games) ranks 1st in points, 3rd in yards, 6th in rushing yards, 5th in passing yards, 1st in sacks, 2nd in third-down conversions and it's up to 10th in the red zone after a slow start.

Hour before kickoff.
Colts QB Anthony Richardson, badly injured in a freak pregame accident. Word trickles inside, where Richardson is writhing in pain: CB Charvarius Ward was KO'd during warmups.
The locker room goes silent.
Then someone raises a voice.

Doyel: What happens when two Colts are injured before game? Music stops. Prayer starts.
Colts locker room was rocked by pregame injuries to QB Anthony Richardson and CB Charvarius Ward. Players prayed for their teammates, and themselves.

Eight different cornerbacks have already taken a defensive snap for the Colts this season, and that list doesn't include Jaylon Jones or Justin Walley.

Riley Leonard is the backup for now. Steichen clearly a little rattled by what happened pregame

Anthony Richardson suffered an orbital fracture pregame

Cardinals 27, Colts 24.

Adebawore, along with Buckner, comes up with a rush to force the field goal.

On a day when Arizona's unconventional scheme has made things a bit herky-jerky for the Colts offense, Indianapolis now has 24 points.

That's the most the Cardinals have given up all season.

That Zaire Franklin penalty can't happen. Cards should have been in third-and-long.
