Published by Tomy before Bamco got their grubby hands on every anime license known to man.
Also 8B loops are too hard to do consistently on keyboard.

I forgot to participate in #combotober so far, but here's a combo from the project I'm working on. If you wanna try it yourself you can play it here: m-acrophage.itch.io/fighting-gam...

Also to be clear I'm not throwing shade at HF/HF2, its a good example of how simplicity can be really cool.

I may be wrong, but I honestly just don't see there being a casual audience for indie FGs outside people that already play FGs. If you want to simplify things to make it a better game, that's great. But imo doing it to attract a casual audience isn't worth potentially making a worse game.

Turns out Eighting can make good fighting games.

It gets worse when you realize one piece is old enough to run for public office and rent a car.

The best mercy mechanics are optional. See the best mercy mechanics of all time:

I have wrestled blender into submission. It has bent to my will. It will no longer disobey my commands.

I had a taser and there were many nights where my house full of 20 something guys sat around a table in the basement drinking and electrocuting ourselves. It is indeed a fair assessment.

I'm a fan of longer combos, but when they either cost resources, or are a result of a setup/counter hit/special circumstance. Crouching light shouldn't be able to go into a 15 second combo. Also, supers should be 3, maybe 5 seconds max. Cutscenes supers are cool, but not after the 100th time.

And just like with credit Americans are very irresponsible with it.

Noone is immune to the effects of gamer rage, but whenever the goblins in my brain tell me to to rq, I just let the opponent take the game, and take a damn break. It's not the perfect solution, but it's far better than disconnecting and denying my opponent the win they earned.

I have reached the point in gamedev where I spend more time doing combos than actually programming.

I love annotating code.

You can argue all you want that motion inputs in fighting games should exist because they're satisfying, add to game balance/complexity etc, but y'all are missing the most important justification:
They let you do more shit with less buttons.

Collecting your well earned rank points is cool and all, but I gotta say, making someone 3 ranks above you ragequit feels way better.

I may have been robbed in pools, but not as much as I robbed that pistachio stand.

I for one, am brave enough to eat two leftover portillos hot dogs before making the drive back to New York.

McCent is the FGCs most elusive creature. I didn't even know he was here.

Please don't tell me there was an Anastasis setup that I missed. I will cry the entire 10 hour drive home.

trump executive order cut federal grants to the strong museum of play (which among other definitions of play is the definitive playable digital game museum), leaving them with a half million dollar budget shortfall. store.museumofplay.org/Webstore/sho...
To our friends, members, and donors:

Last month, The Strong National Museum of Play learned that two of our federal grants—one from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the other from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)—were terminated by Executive Orders associated with shifting federal spending priorities.

These sudden terminations have left the museum with an unprecedented half million-dollar shortfall for projects designed to serve children, families, researchers, and scholars—including a critical collections care initiative and a new, one-of-a-kind exhibit dedicated to exploring the history and cultural impact of game shows.

If you value the power of play and the impact The Strong has in our community and beyond, we need your help now more than ever. Please consider supporting The Strong and sharing this email with others in your network. Gifts of all sizes will make a difference as we work to close this unexpected funding gap.

For more than 40 years, competitive grants from the IMLS and NEH have helped The Strong develop new exhibits and initiatives. Your gift today will help support the projects impacted by these grant terminations—while also helping to ensure we can sustain core museum programs in the face of losing future federal funding opportunities.

Thank you for your support during this critical time.

I'm from this area and have done multiple events and volunteered there. This place is amazing and deserves any support you can give it. I guess it's time to go volunteer more.

I thought my neighborhood was fine until I drove home from work to see a whole ass tree and power line in the road a block from my house.
