Watched Evolve: Succession. No Peter Rosenberg for some reason as we got Blake Howard on the call. They held it in the NXT Arena which looks like the Sphere compared to where Evolve usually tapes. Plus we got an appearance from Tubi star Bigg Jah so you know this was a big deal.
Chris Bey on Talk is Jericho is a must listen. He talks about his injury and the long road to recovery and it’s absolutely harrowing at times but very inspiring in the end.
If you’re into mat wrestling I can recommend Yuji Nagata vs Shinya Aoki from the Super Japan show today. It must have been toasty in Shinjuku Face today given how the sweat was flying off of both men.
You don’t see endings like this anymore. Bret Hart heaves toilet paper. Smoke fills the ring but Hogan throws the Warrior to the floor so he can’t teleport, which makes more sense than I care to admit. The nWo selling belt shots in the most comical manner possible.
Very funny ending as instead of breaking of a pinfall directly in front of him, Booker T heads off Ice Train like he’s trying to keep him from breaking up the pin
Halloween Havoc 1993 opens with a 4 and a half minute skit where some bratty kids show at up at Tony Schiavone’s house to trick or treat and he turns into a werewolf-rhino-demon monster and presumably eats them. We need a sequel on Dynamite.
I'm not making own dough, I'm not using any fancy ingredients, but I am going to make an absolute BEAST of a pizza on my Saturday afternoon. This will go down a treat with some 1987 Crockett.
The first podcast I ever did was guesting on an early Figure 4 Daily talking about the 2005 Ted Petty Invitational. Not sure of the exact date of the show but the TPI was in late September so I’ve likely passed 20 years of podcasts. Thanks to anyone who ever listened or guested.
Always weird seeing Bam Bam Bigelow in street clothes, the man should be legally required to have flames on his attire, whether it’s a cardigan or a tuxedo
