My boy, Rock Man, with a few closeups for detail. Drawn on 9" x 12" bristol board, with blue pencil. Inked with a Kuretake brush pen, Copic Multiliner, and a wide, flat, inking brush. White ink splatter with a toothbrush for effects. Also used 2 different, traditional screen tones.

Even after playing the cyclops in Oh, Brother? Maybe too much "one eye" from Goodman for the majority of audiences. But I agree that he would have been just as good, if not BETTER, than Bridges.

I'm not a professional letterer, but have always hand lettered my own work. I'm not a fan of this. It strikes me as a solution to a compositional problem that the artist created for the letterer. This is definitely my first time seeing something like this.

I would highly recommend! I got my daughter interested in the original Goosebumps series a few years ago, and purchased one of these prints from him as a Christmas present. She loved it.

I'll always work traditionally (when it comes to black & white artwork). But I have definitely streamlined my process by doing all my roughs/layouts in Procreate on my iPad. That's what takes the most time, for me. Penciling and inking is my favorite part.
