At some point people are going to figure out Buster doesn’t know what he’s doing. The Giants had one freak year (2021) after their previous fluke title (2014) but otherwise they’re overmatched against LA & even SD.

The difference between LA and Milwaukee in average BABIP | > 100
does not seem like much but in a small sample of 7 ABs it is a big deal.

LA’s bad luck prob (0 BABIP in 7 ABs) is only about 33% of Milwaukee’s.

Yes, 0 BABIP in 7 ABs on balls > 100 MPH was bad luck. But the large sample reality is that LAD has a much higher BABIP | > 100 (0.667) compared to the Brewers (0.609, 22nd in MLB, worst among winning teams).
