The Dodgers even had a play earlier in the year where an outfielder bobbled a ball before catching it, a runner tagged after the bobble and before the catch, and the ruling was the run scored because a runner can leave as soon as the ball touches leather.

They had no excuse not to know the rule.

I read the physical books and got to like 8 or 9 before I nope-d out.

My daughter - a huge fan of the series - calls the middle books "the slog."
