Got a gallon of cukes fermenting. This cuke variety is "salt &pepper" and is best when white, but matures to yellow. I put a few green "indicator" cukes in there to gauge color as it ferments. This was my grandma's scale that she used on her farm. #fermenting #organicgardening #foodpreservation
