Customer service… it’s not the person on the phone, it’s not the person in the warehouse, it’s not the sales rep… it’s everybody. And if the last mile dude is not conscious of that, the entire brand is falling apart.

Who are you going to use?

Guess which one I use between FedEx & UPS.

ODPS v0.9.0 is now available: the Open Data Product Standard that finally provides data products with a real home, offering them as reusable, governed, discoverable, and aligned with ODCS.

Tired of duct-taping wikis and YAMLs together? This is your standard.

Thanks to @olesenbagneux.bsky.social for his trust and slightly demanding request.

It may look familiar to a previous piece I wrote when I was at PayPal, but a few things have changed in the data world in the last 3 years, so, almost to the day, I refreshed this old foundational article to make it more "2025."

I hope you will enjoy it. In any case, Happy Bastille Day 🇫🇷!

… then you’re exactly who I want to hear from.
✅ No fluff. Just a few hours of your time. As @juansequeda.bsky.social would say: no BS.
✅ Hands-on. Feedback-driven. Bitol-powered.
✅ And yes: there will be rewards of unestimated value. (Think mystery box vibes 🔮).

If you’re into:
🧪 Tinkering with innovative data tooling.
🔄 Testing how contracts and products actually work together.
💬 Sharing candid feedback that helps refine a real solution (well, maybe).
🔧 Shaping open, interoperable ecosystems from the ground up.

I’m looking for 5 to 10 curious minds to explore, play, and experiment with a brand-new "something", built entirely around Data Products, Data Contracts, and fully aligned with Bitol open standards (yes, ODCS & ODPS fans, this is for you!).

The I in IBM stands for Inspiration, and the M for Massachusetts

While some are recovering from IBM's #Think2025, I wanted to share my favorite moment with you, which involves the State of Massachusetts, IBM, and Red Hat.

It encompasses the concept of multiple #datasets per #dataproduct (or more precisely, a #dataquantum). It defines, step by step, the interaction between smart applications, the data product, and the data in a trust-enabled data infrastructure.
