Am I the only one who sees a dragon on 2 legs that breathes fire?
Sorry for the unscientific and off topic message but I couldn't help myself 😅
In line with the niche partitioning hypothesis, we showed that the three falcon species slightly partitioned their foraging and trophic niches, probably playing a key role in making syntopic coexistence in the Po Plain (Italy) possible.

A new study (link.springer.com/article/10.1...) compares the diets of Scopoli’s and Yelkouan shearwaters.

Despite a wide diet, a few pelagic fish species stood out.

Protection of spawning areas and selective fishing are needed for shearwaters and fisheries to co-exist in the region.

Despite soaring over the ocean for days in search of food, 60% of the Galapagos petrel (CR) population nests here, in the forests of Cerro Pajas, Floreana.

An incredible experience from a great collaborative effort led by #FundacionJocotoco and #OrnisItalica.
