If you’re in LA, you’re probably noticing it’s a little wet outside.

Pay attention to evacuation orders because there’s a good chance of mud slides in burn scar areas like the Palisades and Eaton.

Be careful. We don’t do rain well at the best of times and this is an ugly one.

I deleted ALL AI features... and user growth went UP.

Everyone's busy adding Al to everything.
I did the same for indie10k.com but it didn't work.
I removed all of fancy Al stuff - Al coach, Al growth ideas, Al "personalized" advice - everything.
Guess what?
I see more registered users and higher retention.
That actually make me wonder why now i have one page with one button, without all that Al thingy, but it does better?
Here's my question:
Is Al feature actually helping SaaS grow?

G-dorf is *extremely* fun because 1) he's phenomenal at being Just a Terrible Guy/strikes an awesome silhouette/can totally pull off playing his own theme music at the top of his tower AND 2) when folks *want* to give him more to play with (e.g. "Wind Waker" 'Dorf), he still works incredibly well.

That said: it's darkly funny to me that having my spine fused to counter my own kyphoscoliosis (due to ligament failure/destabilization of the curves) arguably makes me "unable" to play R3 because my body can't mimic the visible imbalance to the level that's "expected" by nondisabled people. 🫠🤷🏻

I have such an odd relationship with Richard III. The entire piece is a MESS, but I 1) was fairly bereft of options as a kid of "characters w/ kyphoscoliosis who aren't comic relief or 'inspiring'" and 2) appreciate when he's played by ♿️ actors who actually let him grapple with internalized ableism.

Reaching adulthood and realizing that waist/hip/length sizing didn't "disappear," it's just more common for masc-cut stuff... I've been that level of simultaneously enraged and relieved since, but it's a rarity. 😆

(Knowing I just had to swap departments would've saved teenage-me a lot of pain.)

I have no idea why I looked at Simon one day in 2015 and realized he distantly resembles this man (I think it's just the nose and how Simon's eyelids would sit with eyes slightly closed), but it continued to be a favorite bit of Simon Trivia by virtue of "sounds absurd, but…you *do* kind of see it."
