Saw this story posted on FB & the comments explain everything about our injustice system. Many claimed she'd been found & it was determined to be domestic violence so not an alarming incident like previously suggested. Some pointed out she went with him so... 🤦🏼‍♀️

She's just a warm hole. That's all she's ever been. Women really need to listen when men tell you they do not like your company, they do not like you as a person, you are simply labor & a hole. Good luck if she gets sick/disabled.

The most frustrating part in these scenarios is no one is asking men to drop from the top rope on a guy. A simple "hey bro, not cool" is enough to alert men they don't have pack support.

Yeah, I've never read the comics & have only watched the series but the message that conquest & brute strength aren't more valuable than hope, community, & loved ones isn't particularly subtle. But also Omni-Man got defeated by his own kind & halfling Mark has defeated them.

And like I'm very okay with men unpacking patriarchal expectations for themselves with themselves. Men need to do that work & support each other. But they only ever bond over misogyny & dominance & women are harmed by their neglected work.

Had it been a setup for a 3rd season, I'd still be disappointed but it wouldn't have felt like a pointless season. I accept Marvel shows setting up characters for movies but Gunn's DC was supposed to be different & above that.

I didn't like it. Felt like Harcourt was very out of character & the whole alt world felt unsatisfying. Felt like Gunn just really wanted to watch his wife hook up with Cena.

To be clear, this isn't just a fantasy of men wanting to claim heroic status as a class (to justify their oppression of women & children). There are also those, many victims, who wish men were what they claim to be & policed each other. But they don't & this farce is harmful.

It would seem this was not a murder by outraged Protectors (allegedly one was a rapist himself, the other a murderer), it was a drug dispute & not his first. And yet women & children will become props in this story, much as they were for Watkins, to sell Protectors mythology.

In fact, he allegedly was quite powerful in prison, buying "friends" with his wealth, continuing to manipulate women outside, & being heavily involved in the drug business.

No, it isn't that men replicate in prison the hierarchies men create for women outside & prey on vulnerable targets for status through acts of violent dominance, it's that these morally righteous saviors are so horrified by violence against kids they're driven to good violence.

A popular version of this fantasy is that men, especially men with violent histories of their own, are so outraged by sexual abuse of children that child predators aren't safe in prison. The good abuser with a fist.
