There are many reasons why I’m fighting for a better Memphis, and a better Tennessee. But for me, these three are the most important.
Nothing ends the work day (morning?) better than lunch with Gremlin #1!
It really shouldn’t take a court order to get our government to feed the hungry, but here we are.

There has been enough agreement on both sides of the aisle to get this done, now hopefully the President and his administration will get back to the work of serving the people.
Vermont is doing its job.

Tennessee has the funds to extend SNAP benefits through the government shutdown, while House/Senate Dems are calling for a Special Session to get it done.

Gov. Lee, however, has decided feeding folks isn’t a priority.

It’s politics over people.

Per capita over the last 15 years, Tennessee has lost the most rural hospitals due to our Republican State Legislature’s refusal to expand Medicaid. The loss of 9 additional hospitals would be devastating.
What a wonderful ceremony and reception!

Congratulations to the newly weds, @JustinJPearson.bsky.social and Oceana. May your lives be filled with joy and fulfillment.

Today, we celebrate freedom while recognizing that that fight is far from over. Happy Juneteenth.
The greatest gift this life has given me is the opportunity to be a father to my girls.

Here’s to all the dads out there, where the kids are yours by birth or circumstance, brightening the lives of their children.

Happy Father’s Day!

No Kings Protest in Memphis!

Thousands showed up and showed out. Amazing to see so many people gather here in TN-97!

Now, let’s make sure we turn this energy into action!
