Penguin Panic is now available in the Epic Game Store! With support for achievements, leaderboards and cloud save.

It was a bit more work than I initially thought. The Epic Store is quite complicated.

This happens without AI too. All the time. Once a few students managed to ramp up a bill of 10k by using an expensive API call every second in a script... Once I discovered this it took me some time to find the call and shut it down, meanwhile cost kept increasing 🫢

Had the privilege to talk at the HKU last week. Topics were the @dutchgamesassociation.nl and OSM. It was a lot of fun! HKU produced a lot of successful game devs over the years.

The past few months, I have been playing Online Soccer Manager again. It's still a lot of fun!

A lot of popups need to be closed per session though. It could definitely use some polish...

Popularity is declining it seems. Had a group of students that didn't know about it. That's not a good sign 🫢

WhatsApp now has a huge AI button always on screen. 😱 This is too much imho. I'm all for clever and innovative use of this tech, but you CAN overdo it. An app like WhatsApp benefited over the years of its predictive was and simplicity. Seems META is abandoning that strategy now.
