I’m originally from Manchester so I definitely won’t forget ✊ if I find a stream for it in Canada I’ll let you know. I saw something about it being on Netflix but I don’t think it is (couldn’t find it).
Missed most of the NDP Leader debate but I tuned in to hear Avi Lewis say “General Strike”. Definitely something I can get behind 👏🏻 it’s long overdue. I will hopefully rewatch later as it’s the NWDLC meeting tonight!
How does the PWHL get off charging $160-$275 for a jersey of a no named team? As a “founding season ticket holder” I’ve had nothing in the way of exclusivity or thank you for signing up for the year. At least with the Whitecaps I get a scarf 😂👀
I had a beaver tail for the first time today. It was soooooo good 😋 too rich to eat regularly, maybe I’ll get one in Ottawa next month 👀
Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends. This morning started with a zoom call with like minded folks and this afternoon will be spent with my inlaws eating too much. Thankful and lucky that this is my life and I get to call British Columbia my home 💛🇨🇦

“If the Liberals truly believe in workers’ rights, they must stop siding with corporate interests and commit to repealing Section 107 once and for all. Because workers’ rights are not optional — they are the foundation of a fair and just democracy.”

That's why I and my @ndp.ca colleagues tabled Bill C-247 to remove Section 107 from the Canada Labour Code.

Contact your MP today and tell them to support #BillC247 and uphold workers' rights!

Time and again the Liberals have violated workers' constitutional right to strike by abusing Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code, showing they're with corporations, not workers.

Workers' rights are fundamental to democracy, not a minor inconvenience to be overridden without a second thought.

From coast to coast to coast, working people are demanding a party that truly represents them, one that fights for their families, their jobs, and their communities.

They deserve that.

It’s time to make a workers’ party.

I was just on Instagram and an advert for a watch appeared. So I clicked on it, watched their little promo, slowly thinking this is so pretty I wonder how much it is … $133,000 + tax 😮💀

I also keep seeing a private yacht tour of Asia advert too. How and why am I on this algorithm? 😣
For sure! The driving standard here is abysmal 🤦🏼‍♀️
Dunno if I’m crazy but I’m probably going to ditch the car and take the WCE & Skytrain to YVR 4/5 days a week this winter. Sick of the 1hr 10min+ commute each way (was 1 hr 40min the other day). Cool that we keep adding all this housing without better transit and roads 👍🏻 #transit
So glad for English subtitles because Love is Blind France is too fast for my French listening skills 😅
Are you even in Prince Rupert if it’s not raining? 😂😭🌧️

Shocking to see Ottawa routinely invoking Section 107 to break strikes—sidestepping Parliament and undermining workers’ Charter-protected right to collectively bargain. We must stop this abuse of power. I’m exploring real legislative fixes. thetyee.ca/News/2025/09...

For these workers it’s section 107 that’s being abused. In my workplace it’s section 87.4. Federally regulated employers know they don’t have to bargain because the gov will bail them out. The abuse of the Canadian Charter and workers rights need to stop! #unionstrong #canlab
Air Canada strike:

“We’re going to stay committed to making sure that those workers can do the job that they love doing and actually be able to afford a roof over their heads, to afford caring for their families,” CUPE president just said.

“If it means folks like me going to jail, then so be it.”

At the Pearson rally @lanapayne.bsky.social blasted the federal gov’t for forcing CUPE #flightattendants into arbitration. “You have tipped the scales - we will not stand for it. You have given every single federal employer the message they don’t have to bargain. Expect even more conflict.” #canlab
I went out to YVR with my IAM fam this morning to show support and solidarity to the striking Air Canada Flight Attendants. #unpaidworkwontfly #canlab
