This is going to go a lot further than just saying release the trumpstein files. If she was sworn in already she could be working in her state while they aren’t in session and there would be no urgency for them to swear her in (AND of course force them to release the files)

Time is up. I gave Speaker Mike Johnson two days to swear in Adelita Grijalva. Arizona's 7th congressional district 813,000 Arizonans are now being taxed without representation. I have lawyers downstairs right now drafting litigation.

“Voters typically default to candidates with know-how”, without 34 felonies, who aren’t adjudicated sexual abusers and that don’t idolize current Dictators or quote Hitler YET here we are. Times have changed and so has what Dems want in a candidate.

The ONLY excuse Johnson has for not swearing her is that they aren’t in session. The Dems are doing the right thing making a big deal about her needing to be sworn in so people are paying attention when they do come back.

No it doesn’t make a difference if she’s sworn in already because the rules say swearing her in takes precedence over other business. If he tries to comeback and do ANYTHING before swearing her in it makes him look WAY worse. It is MUCH better to make him do it.

No you missed the point. People are suggesting the Dems should do something to get the new member sworn in without the Speaker. Swearing her in doesn’t bring the house back so it doesn’t force a vote on the Trumpstein Files. They are MUCH better of badgering the Speaker to get her sworn in.

There is no “law”, the Constitution only requires the oath. Congress makes the “rules” and Dems are choosing to play by the rules. They could choose to only follow the law and swear her in themselves. Not following rules doesn’t make it any less legal;)

Not needed, current law allows any judge or notary to swear in new members. It’s only tradition that it’s done by the speaker. Dems know this but they also know it makes Johnson look bad because of the Epstein files 😉

That is ALREADY the law. Current law states that any officiant can swear in new members. So they can literally go to any bank right now and have a Notary swear her in.

Just an FYI: when Repuglicans say they want to “drain the swamp” they are talking about mass firing federal employees.

I only recently figured out they aren’t referring to crooked politicians.

They say the Dept of Ed, EPA, DOH…are woke evil institutions stealing profits from white men. Who knew🤷‍♀️
