I think it’s just the default format for screen names in the game because when I started playing, the game generated a screen name for me that follows that format and I just left it as is.

Some interesting Outer Cape Rain Gauge totals since Sunday with more significant rainfall since 12 AM Tuesday as of 1045 AM: Provincetown, MA: 5.13", North Truro, MA: 5.12", Eastham, MA: 5.00" (pic confirmed manual rain gauge) #mawx

Well, we hit the 5” mark in Eastham and went a bit over. I just emptied out the gauge so we can measure what is yet to come. #mawx Spotter #21-241 @wx1box.bsky.social @capecodweather.net
A rain-spattered plastic rain gauge on a wooden deck, the base stuck between the deck planks. The gauge’s background is dark blue, the lettering is white. There is lightly over 5” of accumulated rain in the gauge.

I’ll have to empty my gauge soon since it tops out at 5” and I think we’ll get more.

Latest rain gauge update: about 4.5” and pouring rain. Some thunder and lightning. #mawx Spotter #21-241 @wx1box.bsky.social @capecodweather.net

Don’t think I’m walking to the store today. Getting to the mailbox will be enough of a project.

🪶 In the Ojibwe language, the word for chickadee is gijigijigaaneshiinh. To hear it pronounced (it sounds really cool) visit ojibwe.lib.umn.edu/m...

Now we’re up to about 2.70” in my Eastham rain gauge. Windy and drizzling aggressively. Spotter #21-241 #mawx @wx1box.bsky.social @capecodweather.net
A rain-spattered plastic rain gauge stuck into a wooden deck between planks. The rain gauge has a dark blue background with white lettering and measurement lines. The gauge leans slightly to the left and contains about 2.70” of water.

The funny thing is, I lived in Montclair for a long time and know the intersection he was referring to. That line is a completely accurate description of wayfinding from that intersection if one wanted to get to his house.

Seriously. I was fading in and out for last night’s 15-inning extravaganza. :(

I’m at the point whee I see “possible nor’easter” and think, “no, do not want big wind.”

Never fails. Didn’t get an autogyro for the daily tasks in Skycards yesterday, so of course this AM, I found three, when I don’t “need” it.

Ok, that’s sweet basil, Thai basil, tarragon, mint, Korean mint, and rosemary in the kitchen tonight. I think I might have to make some stew this weekend.
