In honor of spooky month, share a 4 word horror story that only someone in your profession would understand

I'll go first: Six page commercial lease.

I've never seen The Sixth Sense or The Crying Game. I learned about the twists before I saw the movies, and that killed my enthusiasm for seeing them.

Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

I love that sequence so much! Such a great example of showing instead of telling.

There was an attempt to restart the Wildstorm titles as their own thing, called "The Wild Storm". That's what I was thinking of.

It's funny to point out that progression relies on a Stormwatch/Aliens crossover one-shot. Kinda like reminding people that Rom, Spaceknight is how we got Forge and a huge piece of X-Men lore...

Right, but if she is going to be the first/only Engineer then she should have created them herself. There have been alternate versions of Angela-as-Engineer where she invented them.

(What I want is a big-screen adaptation of one of Warren Ellis' Authority arcs but that probably shouldn't happen, for several reasons)

I was not thrilled with the idea that she did not come up with the nanotech herself. (She's "The Engineer" after all!)
It'll be interesting to see what they do with her and whether she gets tweaked in The Authority

Oh come on this isn’t a close call.

i'm not saying this is the version they need to use but the version of Vandal from Young Justice—the self-styled "greatest hero in history" who has plans for humanity that span centuries—was pretty damn good.

Also, @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social is going to be mad he missed the ultimate opportunity to break one of Sam's games.

There are going to be SO MANY clips of @samreich.bsky.social after this episode of Game Changer. You know the ones I'm talking about.

Mikey's videos are always fantastic. He lays out the past, present, and (likely) future of the MCU in a way that's not hateful or dogmatic.

I never got to see Moxy Früvous perform—I lived on the wrong coast—but I played the crap out of Bargainville on my college radio station. Learning that Jian was a piece of crap broke my heart.

You could replace “agent“ with “leprechaun“ and it would be exactly as rooted in reality.

I love this! I really like black-and-white line art RPG maps.
