Mike Johnson and GOP in Congress could choose to pass a bill to pay military during the shutdown. They’ve chosen to stay away. They’ve chosen to allow the admin to break the law. So you gotta wonder how long before they decide the gov doesn’t need to “open” and Congress doesn’t need to pass a budget

President Trump on Wednesday signed a memorandum expanding his administration’s authority to repurpose unspent federal funds to pay members of the military during the government shutdown, escalating his challenge to the authority of Congress on spending matters.
Trump Signs Memo Expanding His Authority to Spend Federal Money
The president gave Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth wide authority to repurpose funds to pay members of the military without approval from Congress, which has the sole constitutional authority to decide federal spending.

I DARE this fucker to pull the Olympics from LA.

Trump: "Somebody said, 'would we think about taking the World Cup away from Boston if they don't straighten it out?' The answer is yes. We have the right to do that with FIFA. So if we think that LA is gonna be bad, or that applies a little bit to the Olympics too."

What do I know and I'm not saying it's a magic bullet or anything like that but it sure seems to me that Dems should run hard on the Argentina bailout. Not anywhere near the worst thing Trump has done, but i suspect it's unusually clarifying.

Jeffries: "It's perplexing to us that Rs refuse to spend a dime to protect the healthcare of the American people, but somehow the Trump admin found $40b to bail out a right-wing wannabe dictator in Argentina in ways that are also going to continue to hurt our soybean farmers in Iowa & the Midwest"

Mike Johnson: "They berated a Capitol police officer, screamed at him. He was merely standing his post. It shows, again, their disdain for law enforcement, the Democrats, screaming, assaulting officers."

I'm Jewish. I've been to Oklahoma. There are three of us in the entire state. And two run the bagel barn in OKC.

Markwayne Mullin: "I even met with some Jewish leaders in Oklahoma City and it was amazing because I walked in and they just wanted to hug and say 'thank you.' And one of them even said, 'I don't understand why so many Jewish communities vote Democrat.'"

He's "saving God" y'all.

This was once called blasphemy in the church I was raised in.

Eric Trump: "We're saving Christianity. We've saving God. We've saving the family unit. We're saving this nation. I mean, DEI is out of the window, Benny. You no longer have Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the national anthem. You no longer have Budweiser going woke as hell. All of this is dead."

These watches appear to be ripoffs of famous designs. Likely from some factory that normally produces "homage" watches and they just swapped out the branding.
