I dig the vibe of this neighborhood display.
The Haunt closes after tonight 11/1, so you can still catch it if you’re in the Bay Area.
Visited The Haunt at Yerba Buena Center, featuring a number of artists corralled by BatWitchGhost.art

Super fun, and the right level of spooky for my haunt-averse spouse.
Bought this awhile ago. My daughter is now old enough to get it, so peeled off that shrink wrap it was tons of fun. Nice to see WDW Hotel representation in a board game!
Thanks for posting these! Looks fantastic. I've been trying to convince my family that we need go there during my daughter's spring break next year. Fingers crossed.
If I could get to LA next week, I would definitely be visiting the Man in the Tuskhut.

Hopefully he makes himself available again (or makes his way to the Frisco Bay...).

Corinne Griffith was a stunner and had a wild life that inspired Billy Wilder’s FEDORA.
A Virgin's Sacrifice (1922) is now streaming on the NFPF site with new music by Michael Mortilla. Starring Corinne Griffith, this snowbound tale was preserved photochemically by @eastmanmuseum.bsky.social and is available for home viewing for the first time.

Very excited that 8 more Heather McAdams films will be preserved by @chicagofilmsociety.org. If you caught the screenings of her previously preserved works earlier this year, you know we are in for a treat when these new 16mm gems emerge on the screen.
The NFPF and @Film_Foundation are thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2025 Avant-Garde Masters Grants. Eight films by Heather McAdams, Michael Mideke's PHI TEXTURE plus 7 more, and Kathleen Laughlin's SUSAN THROUGH CORN.

Thinking this is the year I get into haunts.

I didn’t think this month I’d turn into a prepper but I fell into it and can’t stop.
I don't think its going to be near as huge as Dollyworld or if it's gonna lean more Garden than Theme Park, but Storyville Gardens is supposedly coming to Nashville: storyvillegardens.com

Was lucky to be let into a hideout, staying a step ahead of the Empire…
Not sure if it’s just me but I generally like to see how pop culture things announced in the press actually turn out and experience them before opening the hater-hose.
Grade is a little low.
Finally caught the Ruth Asawa show at SFMOMA and fell in love with these pieces that seem tailor made for a swinging space-age pad.
I was sort of feeling that crime was down in San Francisco but then I went downtown and saw some shady characters. Not so sure now. National Guard when?
Last weekend the Bob Baker Marionette Theater came to the Circus Center in SF and it was a grand time.
Low-budge framing of recent small acquisitions.
Day of art in SF. A Krazy Kay page from Wayne Thiebaud’s personal collection, Shag on Mary Blair & mid -century, more Thiebaud—the amazing late clown paintings, and the indescribably present sculptural paintings by Carlos Villa at Cushion Works.
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
Had a grand time with the Dambo Trolls at Filoli just south of SF. Beautiful grounds and the trail with these creatures was a beautiful stroll.
Who’s doing the 20th anniversary screening of Albert Brooks’s LOOKING FOR COMEDY IN THE MUSLIM WORLD?

I remember being flummoxed by this picture in 2005. Feels like it’s forgotten.
