Recognising Palestine isn’t a punishment for Israel. It’s about the Palestinian right to self-determination.

Part of the problem is the conflation between generative AI (completely bollocks “spicy autocomplete” that’s killing the planet) and machine learning (the scientific uses to expose patterns in enormous data sets which can then be explored by humans)

I understand that this is unlikely to force Israel's hand, but I don't understand why statehood is conditioned on Israel acting at all. What happens if they make some progress toward satisfying those conditions, do they get an extension on denying Palestine statehood?
