I’d never heard of Charlie Kirk. It seems he was a strong advocate of widespread gun ownership. He even went as far as claiming that deaths from firearms are a price worth paying for ‘liberty’. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Absolutely, see also Bernays. Propaganda is only effective if the target audience have no idea that it’s propaganda. These texts are well known and not even controversial but absolutely buried by the BBC, tells you all you need to know.

Not just the owners, the key advertisers too. No paper survives on its cover price, all depend on corporate adverts. Given time you could have cited Peter Oborne who resigned from the Telegraph when they spiked his story about HSBC on whose money they depend. QED.

I was on the Moral Maze last night, and I have to say, with the blazing self-deception of Tim Stanley and Paul Baldwin, and the failure of other contributors to grasp some basic realities, it was an almost perfect showcase of everything that is wrong with the media.

I was baffled to hear no mention of Bernays or Chomsky nor the £42billion annually spent on advertising in the UK. Money entirely wasted is it?
