Deep South here. We upgraded to a heat pump early last year and our electricity bills have gone done with no loss of heating or cooling. In fact, we have to keep the thermostat set higher in summer because the pushed air is so much colder. Just a data point.

Sometimes it takes fiction to smack us in the face with an unpleasant reality.

In New York, ICE detained a busload of farmworkers that were actively involved in a union drive.

In Washington state, ICE dragged a farmworkers’ rights activist and leader out of his car to detain him.

Be warned: attacking unions is a hallmark of fascism.

The administration wants women to have babies. Clarify: They want white women to have babies. So maybe they'll offer a $5,000 bonus per baby.

That sound you hear is 95% of women just cackling at these idiots. $5,000 won't even put a dent in the hospital bill or pay for six months of child care.
