Whatever the money line is on total FEMA Admins during this administration, I'll take the over. 🤦
Go run FEMA and assess its viability.

OK, FEMA should not be eliminated.

You're fired, wrong answer.

What a joke....
Thanks in advance to our current administration. From Western NY.🤦❄️
Cutting pre disaster programming will make disasters worse. Just a reminder that there are no "natural" disasters. The real disaster is caused by human actions or lack of action, even policy.
Ignorance. Also referring to FEMA as a "disaster relief agency."
Classes are turning into current events studies...
We have started teaching the processes and the science. Instead of "the plan" or doctrine, break down the methodology for strategies for infrastructure protection or other missions. The responsibility and ethics still exist even if gov abandons them.
Rotation of styles plus Scotch Eggs too
That's better than my experience of a slew of requests for extension on the due date...sigh
Who will head resilience agencies? May be a way to break out of the ex first responder double dip cycle running EM. (Trying to find positive in everything going on, it's hard)
Typical to have at least 4 fiscal years of funding active at once
As a former EM practitioner, waiting to respond was the hardest habit to break. I still shoot replies from mobile on weekends from muscle memory...
Let's start using their terms and names to describe disasters...I wonder if a tabletop exercise where Hurricane Donald destroyed our Capital region would get flagged?
Let's hold our own symposium!
At least acknowledge risk even if you plan to accept it without action.
We are a week into the semester. Good experience aiming for moving targets I guess.
Will make EM curriculum development interesting....

In other (good) news, my son has committed to study Sports Management and play D3 volleyball at Hartwick College.
Sigh as I upload my crisis communications course for the Spring semester. I'm going to need my students to really meet the critical thinking learning objectives...
