When has Matt Canavan ever been correct?

In which I point out that our Prime Minister might just be stretching the truth a tad when he says that Woodside's North West Shelf extension is needed to firm the Western Australian grid.

Did he tell you about how he grew up in social housing?
Fact Check: Woodside’s North West Shelf extension isn’t needed to firm the Australian grid
It does what it says on the tin.

Every single young Australian would need to order 4,888 t-shirts from Temu each year (13 per day) to match Woodside's current emissions.

And to reach Woodside's maximum emissions estimates for the North West Shelf Extension? They would each need to order 214,571 t-shirts. #woodsideenergy

Just got a message from a mate: “Can Peter Dutton get a ‘Goodbye From Country’?”

😂
Bennelong/Bradfield borderlands had free sausage at St Paul's!
Gosh I was just thinking about arranging to catch up with him. Pls add me to the list.
I suppose otel has to meet the customer where they are, having been given a comical amusement park map from the 80s with a logo that rhymes with "openspew" or "drunk" telling them to head to The Log Ride and the SNMP sideshow alley.
It's not great that Otel's API has also chosen to present these Reverential Pillars as distinct, rather than, say, hide the projection of events to these formats in the exporter and reader components.
Logs especially, whose true name is "shitty rendering of a trace span".
Its 2025 and it amuses me that vendors are still talking about logs, metrics, and traces like they're unique data sources and not merely projections of the same event.
Now I'm watching it demoed in grafana #observabilitycon I realise it takes over 20 years to build this product.
Circa 2002 @jeffwaugh.bsky.social and I wanted to build what we now know is called an "observability platform" (but we just thought was "monitoring"), which built pretty graphs of your infrastructure and application data flows inferred from network telemetry and traces.
