Continuation of last time (with the chestnuts). I am going to prepare red bean paste!

本当に結構降っていましたね!買い物に行きたくても行けなかったんです😥
Also, they are unripe. Ripe ones are reddish. It's the first time I saw them on sale in a local shop, so I had to get them. I have been wanting to try them for quite some time. Now I gotta find a way to use them. They are too hard for eating them raw 😆
Those are unripe なつめ. You can use them for making 甘露煮(かんろに)
おしい! close! It says なつめ!
They do look like apples, right? But nope 😁 (there's a hint on the package written in hiragana, but it's barely visible)
I have a similar opinion! Watching anime is super helpful for your listening skills and exposing you to the language in general. But without studying the language first, it won't really do anything.
I'll be making a video/podcast episode about koromo-gae, the seasonal change of clothing.

What did/will you do today? Tell me 😁

Good morning, everyone! I guess for most of you, the day is about to end, while mine has just begun.

As a conversation starter, talking about the weather is a nice ice breaker. Then, you can start with what you really want to say. The same can still be said about letters and even emails.

⬇️
What do Japanese people eat in fall? For example pacific saury, sanma. You write it with the kanji for fall 秋, sword 刀, and fish 魚.

In Japan, they have these sock protectors, which you put on your big toes, helping to prevent toenails from tearing holes into your precious socks. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures. But I think I'll get some soon. My socks and I do suffer from premature hole formation 😆
Now I want an aloha shirt! 🌴🏖🌺
Translators are especially needed for languages such as Japanese that omit information or need you to understand the context. Google translate and AI try, but they fail quite often, and/or don't catch nuances.
Languages are more than words or phrases. It's the cultural background that is needed.
Lately, I have been working on a video about Japanese grammar for beginners! Sentence structure, tenses, particles - everything you need to know to use them effortlessly. I know many people struggle with wa/ga, de/ni etc. This video is for you!

it's not a sprint, it's a quiet walk that keeps going - try to enjoy it, without pressure. Look forward to every single meeting that will bring you two closer 💜

Keigo is like old wine, it ripens while time (and usage) passes. I remember my first contact with keigo (and my confusion), and now, after encountering it again and again for years, and finally using it actively, it's become my friend. 😊

Of course! I spent 6 hours today on the more tedious tasks. Will keep working on it tomorrow!
Half-peeled chestnut, without removing the brown skin.
I feel like that sounds like one of the questions from JLPT from the listening section. Like, you have to listen to a dialog, and then the question you have to answer based on that dialog is always something like, what will the woman do afterward?
Using chestnuts and azuki beans, what do you think I will make?

(I made a short video clip)
